Goa Gong is located in the village of Bomo , District Punung , Donorejo , about 140 miles south of the city of Solo or 30 km Southwest Pacitan City .
Named Goa Gong because in it there is a stone which if hit will cause noise that sounded like Gong . The journey to the cave is relatively easy , with a footpath that has been repaired properly .
All the way to Goa Gong will pass through hilly areas with caves in it . Pacitan caves are generally formed from Karst rock type , rock that looks black and very hard . At the beginning Goa Gong discovered by two local residents who were involuntarily want to find a source of water .
Do not imagine the dark and scary cave , since the time of entry into the cave mouth as far as 300 AD , visitors will enjoy the cozy cave Gong .
Not really bright , but the cave Gong in facilitation with dim lights along the entry road . This is what makes the other Gong cave from other caves in Pacitan .
